THE BIG BLUE AND MY BDAY

The Maxfield side always has a reunion up at Bear Lake.  We stay at Ideal Beach, and it is one of my favorite vacations of the year.  It is full of playing Rook, eating good food, boating, tubing, swimming, golfing, rollerblading, volleyball, and late night hot tubbing with all our cousins.  I usually spend my birthday up in Bear Lake, but this year we came home early so I had to plan a day of fun in Salt Lake City to celebrate my 24th birthday.

For my Birthday I woke up to a decorated room, birthday notes, and cards.  Then I went to breakfast at Cottonwood Cafe.  Next we decided to go golfing at Mick Rileys. After we went on a bike ride at the Jordan River Park Way.  For dinner we picked up Blimpie sandwiches, and a lot of dessert from Kneaders.  My family and I ate dinner on a blanket at Liberty park.  We went on a walk around the park since the paddle boats were closed, and played on the playground.  Then we played a little volleyball.  Our goal was to achieve a 24 hit streak with me hitting the 24th shot.  Unfortunately my father let the competitive side take over and stole the hit from me. Then we went home for more presents and the best surprise of all... a new SCOOTER!!!! It was a birthday present for me and kenzie, and it is adorable.  Then to top of the day I went to the midnight showing of BATMAN.  It was a great movie.  Thanks everybody for the Birthday texts, calls, presents, and cards.
It truly made my 24th Birthday unforgettable.

Turning 24!

Shower-mania

My sister Megan is having a baby boy!  I am so excited for her and Craig.  They are going to be great parents, and I can't wait to see their little boy.  We had two showers for her.  I sure do love baby showers, there is nothing better than looking at little baby boy clothing. Thanks Nelson and Maxfield sisters the showers were amazing.

Nelson Sisters

Erica Timboe is a girl I met in Gamma.  She is getting married in the Bountiful Temple and I couldn't be more happy for her.  Kelsi put on a delicious shower and I loved talking to Erica and the gamma girls for a while. I love chatting with the gamma girls and catching up with one another.

Congrats Erica!

Fourth of July and Hikes

Every fourth of July I go to my cabin in Miday to celebrate Independence day, and the July birthdays with all the Nelsons.  It is one of my favorite holidays.  Bike Parade, mini olympics, dinner, and delicious dessert, birthday presents, and fireworks on the front lawn.  Nothing tops fourth of July in Midway.

Free Face painting by my cousins.

Visiting the calves

I also went to donut falls with my family for FHE.  It was beautiful, and the donut still exists.  I also went to Lagoon with some of my best friends and had a blast as always.  James invited us up to his cabin in Ogden where we had adventures and delicious food.  And last but not least Hal Waldo's cabin.  We slept over and made blueberry pancakes before trekking up to Secret lake at ALta ski resort.  It was beautiful and fun to be with Hal and his friends.  I am so grateful for the friends I have and the beautiful country that I live.  I love the peacefulness of the mountains and adoring the creations that God has made.
